Did I mention seeing Terry J last week?
Fri, 2008-05-16 08:10
![]() OK... I've been trying to edit great video footage of our meeting with Terry Jones at the NewMBC offices... (He kissed me on BOTH cheeks... TWICE!) (sorry Katy, I had to say it... ) Some of the meeting was "secret", but I will hopefully have some footage (some of which has already slipped out for a brief moment on PythOnline... oops... ahem...I don't know HOW that happened...) ;~) Our meeting lasted a quick hour and a half (a lifetime for fans!) and then he had to scoot off to another appointment. I can report he looked terrific, well rested, tanned and just... Super! (I've not seen him face to face for 10 years) and in my humble opinion, he's actually 'the nicest' Python. (a challenge to Mr. Palin for sure!). We'll have more to post soon. Stay tuned! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Votes: 0 Tags: PythOnline, Terry Jones, MashCaster, Katy, TWICE, Lemming, NewMBC ![]() gna42 Yes the double kiss on the cheek...

Once for hello and once after the meeting for goodbye... so that's really FOUR, isn't it? "Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad..." and... "always look on the Bright Side of Life..." ![]() gna42 I can't express how great he looked...!

Seriously, he looked tanned and very well-rested. It really made me feel better that he looked great after the whole cancer scare 2 years ago... That alone made the meeting for me. "Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad..." and... "always look on the Bright Side of Life..." ![]() christinah3000 that's really wonderful to

She really didn't keep it a secret from me, I was her confidante(not sure if I was supposed to say that). Hah, well, it's out in the open now. YAYYYY!!! Terry Jones!![jumps up anddown in the school girl fashion]*squeee* ()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()() ![]() Hanri How can you

keep this sort of stuff to yourself for this long? Oh well, we all are entitled to our moments of freedom. (freedom, what's that? can you eat it?) I am so envyous... (is that even a word? that's how envyous I am..) *sigh* * * * Have we started again? *shh* ![]() gna42 It's been difficult!!!

There's so much going on, and I wanted to post the video, but there's stuff that's not public yet, so... It's TOUGH!!! "Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad..." and... "always look on the Bright Side of Life..." ![]() LadyLovelace Poor Jeanna

of sarcasm... I was a pre-teen girl with photos of "The Boys" all over my walls. I never missed an episode of the Flying Circus on TV(thanks to my warped grandparents). Never in a million years would I have imagined that I would get to MEET any of them, much less work with them. I've got my hat off to Kim "Howard" Johnson. He's the ultimate "fan" he went to Tunisia to track them down... and wound up being John Cleese's assistant for quite while. How cool is that??!! (not that my time as Eric's assistant is anything to sneeze at, but I never traveled with him). There will always be someone who has more access, or has better stories... It IS difficult to not talk about seeing them! I was tying to bring a visual aid with me... but the video is not cooperating and had to be sent to our techs to see if they can change the format for me to something editable. So... I'll bring it here as soon as I can! "Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad..." and... "always look on the Bright Side of Life..." ![]() LadyLovelace I see my subtlty

is still working as I intend. Kim "Howard" Johnson impresses the hell out of me.....mostly because it sounds like the kind of thing I'd do given half the chance. You should be proud of yourself, you are enabling the second generation of python fans! (though some may say this is not an entirely good thing, as they would like their children to be as normal and well adjusted as possible) Go JEANNA!! (who is really, really cool and we all love) Yours etc., ![]() Lemming_Of_The_BDA psshhh normal

It's too much fun being weird to be normal! and a next generation is good I think, today's youth could learn a lesson on real humour. "Know what I mean? Wink wink. Nudge nudge. Say no more! Say no more!" ![]() LadyLovelace Oh they certainly could

but, the little ones are already part of the way there, they laugh when you say "bum" and who doesn't laugh at "Oh, me bum"? I think kids would actually have more chance of getting a lot of it than teenagers an young adults. I'm thinking here of Do Not Adjust Your Set (intended for children). I mean, kids are going to miss a few of the politically and socially contextual jokes, because their 20th century history isn't spectacular, but they still laugh at the raw humour, which is all a bit "immature" for the ever-so-grown-up teenager of today, whose comments often amount to "OMG UR laughing at bum jokes". I hope never to grow up, it looks terribly boring. Yours etc., ![]() Lemming_Of_The_BDA Ew people are still doing that?!
Submitted by Lemming_Of_The_BDA on Sat, 2008-05-17 23:46.
I could of sworn it was just a fad! Well I still refuse to grow up. As for bum jokes (tee hee bum) I kind of feel your right on the whole kid vs. teenager thing. I wonder If I'd be as into python as I am now had I not been introduced at such a young age. "Know what I mean? Wink wink. Nudge nudge. Say no more! Say no more!" ![]() Miss Tree Well

well I will be 24 this year and I still havent grown up. I still love Python and fart jokes and all the things Im sure my parents kept telling themselves it was just a phase with. So have no fear, if you dont wanna get old and boring, you dont have to. ![]() gna42 I will be old someday... but never boring...
Submitted by gna42 on Sun, 2008-05-18 09:48.
ever. I promise... unless I go on and on about the state of my (so far non-existent) arthritis, bad back, aches and pains... you, you know the usual old people thing... that's a bit boring... (I can hear Terry Jones' "not got MUCH Spam in it" voice in my head...) "Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad..." and... "always look on the Bright Side of Life..." ![]() gna42 Did I mention that Nora...
Submitted by gna42 on Sun, 2008-05-18 07:49.
(my 5 year old) requests to see "The Fish Slapping Dance" all the time? I'm working her up to the more... umm... adult stuff... that won't be for a while... But she's a Python fan already! "Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad..." and... "always look on the Bright Side of Life..." ![]() Lemming_Of_The_BDA Oh yay

Jeanna's a god mommy! Nora's lucky to be able to see python (she's seen it at an earlier age than me... maybe she's a prodigy.) wait... can you be a prodigy when it comes to being a python fan? "Know what I mean? Wink wink. Nudge nudge. Say no more! Say no more!" ![]() christinah3000 wow, great to hear, you're

you didn't start bragging before now *is jealous* Secret eh? Will there be need for a comfy chair, or is it the kind of secret which is temporary (or do we have to wait for your memoirs?) The "nicest" Python, sounds like a direct challenge to some of the people here. I suppose it depends on how one defines "nice" (I feel as though I've said that before). Me, I could care less, they're clever and talented enough to do without being nice. *stays tuned* (as if you could get rid of me) Yours etc., Comment viewing optionsSelect your preferred way to display the comments and click "Save settings" to activate your changes. |
