Terry Jones
Terry Jones' Posts Terry Jones was born on February 1, 1942, in Wales, a land of excessive consonants. He was educated at the Royal Grammar School in Guildford, where he was "head boy", which is actually a position of great respect and authority, so stop snickering. After passing through the usual pre-Python career trajectory (college theatricals, David Frost, BBC – really, you try writing one of these things…), Mr. Jones went through a Python phase before lapsing into post-Python. With Michael Palin he co-wrote the "Ripping Yarns" series and "Bert Fegg's Nasty Book for Boys and Girls". Jones has also written numerous fairy tales (and pressed fairy tales) and fantasies, and directed the films "Erik the Viking" and "The Wind in the Willows". Returning to his academic training, he has also written many books and documentaries about ancient and Medieval history, largely as a way of making amends for presenting the people of those eras as toothless, inbred savages in films seen around the world. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Votes: 1 Tags: Monty Python, Terry Jones, Wales, Evil Machines, opera, Lisbon |
